I have my bachelor's degree in early childhood education from Auburn university and I have a passion for seeing children learn and realize their potential! Mary Cordell, B.A. Sprouts Lead Teacher Hello, ADS! I am absolutely delighted to be joining the Auburn Day School team. I have a degree in English with a focus in secondary education from Auburn University. I have over eight years of experience in preschool classrooms teaching one to three year old children. I am passionate about helping each child reach their next milestone while feeling loved exactly where they are. I strongly believe children learn best by being able to be hands on explorers of their world, and I love to be a part of their experience as a supportive and caring teacher. I am so honored that I now get to do that at ADS! When I’m not in the classroom, I am enjoying my time with my husband, our two children, and our cat, Aubie. ABBIE MURPHY, B.S. Explorers' Lead Teacher My name is Abbie Murphy, and I’m so excited to be part of the ADS team! I’m originally from Montgomery and graduated from Auburn University in Elementary Education. I recently moved to Auburn and am currently working toward my master’s degree in Elementary Education. I have a true passion for working with kids and love watching them grow, discover new things, and develop a love for learning. I believe in creating a welcoming, engaging classroom where students feel valued and encouraged to reach their full potential. I can’t wait to learn, grow, and make a positive impact alongside the students this year!
Suz Renneker, B.S. Adventurers'/Eggs' Lead Teacher Hi! I am so excited to begin my second year as a Lead teacher at Auburn Day School! I am from Birmingham, Alabama, and a graduate of Auburn University with a Bachelor's in Communication and a minor in Psychology. I have always had a passion for working with children. I find it so rewarding to see a child accomplish a task for the first time! Every week brings something new with the children. In my free time, I love to read, listen to music, and spend time with family and friends! We're going to have an amazing year in the ADS Adventurers' Class!

COMING FROM A FAMILY OF EDUCATORS, MY PASSION FOR LEARNING AND TEACHING HAS ALWAYS BEEN INGRAINED IN ME. Alison Crosby, M.S.W.: voyagers' LEAD TEACHER I am thrilled to be a part of the ADS team. After graduating with my Bachelor's and Master's of Social Work from the University of Georgia, I returned to Auburn, my hometown, with my husband. It was then I realized my passion for early childhood education and began my 10 year career in a child development center. I spent 8 years in the Toddler and Twos classroom and 2 years in administration before joining the ADS team. When I'm not in the classroom, I love spending time with my husband and two kids (6 & 10). I'm excited to begin my fifth year here at Auburn Day School and I can't wait to meet all of you!
EMILY DANIEL, B.S., Inventors' lead Teacher I am so excited to join the Auburn Day School team. I recently graduated from Auburn University at Montgomery with my degree in Elementary Education. I am currently pursuing my master’s degree in the same field! I’m passionate about creating a warm, engaging space where children feel safe, supported, and excited to learn. I already love the joyful, hands-on, and nurturing environment at Auburn Day School, and I’m so grateful to be part of a team that truly values the whole child.
Katelyne Turner, B.S. investigators'/tadpoles Lead Teacher Labelle Dance Company Owner/Director What a delight it is to be part of the ADS family! I am from Elba, AL and I am currently studying early childhood education at Auburn University. I started my journey working with children in 2018 and have since worked with children from age six weeks to preschool. I have gained experience with older children as well through teaching dance! I found that I also love the management side of working with children as I worked as the director for a daycare center in the past. I have a dog named Hank who keeps me more than busy. I also enjoy spoiling and looking after my grandmother (who adopted me) when I visit my hometown. I am more than eager to see how these children at ADS and I can grow!
Ren Hunt, B.S. Junior Biologists' Lead teacher I am so excited to be returning as a lead teacher as part of the ADS team! I graduated from Auburn with a degree in Early Childhood Education and will be pursuing a masters degree in School Counseling! I have previously been an assistant at ADS and am overjoyed to be moving into a lead role. It is my privilege to work with your sweet students and ensure their time in my classroom is full of love and learning.
Heather McDonough, B.S., ADS Music Teacher and Assistant Teacher I'm an original auburn native, although I spent 13 years in Newnan, GA. I have a bachelor's degree in Music Education from Auburn University and 15 years of teaching experience at the elementary and preschool levels. My passion is exposing young children to the many benefits of creative expression through music, movement, and imagination. I'm married with two children and a cardigan welsh corgi. Outside of ADS I'm involved in Girl Scouts and the Auburn Band Parents Association. I'm a textbook Hufflepuff and love to read, belly dance, and nap!
Rachel Webb, Assistant teacher Hi! My name is Rachel Webb, and I’m a junior at Auburn University studying Human Development and Family Science. I hope one day become a pediatric Occupational Therapist. I truly love being around children and feel so grateful to get to support them as they learn, grow, and discover what they’re capable of. I recently graduated from Clemson University with a B.S. in Parks, Recreation, and Tourism Management with a concentration in Recreation Therapy. I am currently pursuing a Master's degree in Human Development and Family Studies with a concentration in Child Life at Auburn University. I am excited to use the skills I have learned throughout my education to promote healthy learning and foster an encouraging environment for the children at ADS!
Rachael Harper, assistant Teacher I am so excited to join the Auburn Day School team! I recently graduated from Auburn University with a bachelor's degree in Psychology and am currently pursuing a master's degree in Educational Research, Measurement, and Evaluation at Auburn University. I have a strong passion for working with children and have developed a unique connection with them throughout my academic and professional experiences. In the future, I aspire to specialize in supporting children with learning disabilities. Outside my academic pursuits, I enjoy spending time at the beach, shopping, and socializing with family and friends. Audrey Cordier, Assistant Teacher Hi everyone! My name is Audrey Cordier, and I am from Fayetteville, Georgia! I am currently a Junior at Auburn University studying Speech, Language, Hearing Sciences. My goal is to attend graduate school and become a licensed Speech Language Pathologist. I am hoping to work either in schools with children or in hospitals in acute care. I have absolutely loved working with and getting to know the little ones, and am excited for this year at Auburn Day School!

I’m from Virginia, but am currently a Junior studying Speech Language and Hearing Sciences at Auburn University. I hope to one day work as a Speech Language Pathologist in acute care. NIKI BENCSIK, Assistant Teacher My name is Niki Bencsik, and I am excited to join the ADS family as an Assistant Teacher! I am a mother of two amazing girls, ages 11 and 13, and a skilled educator with more than ten years of experience working with children. I hold a degree in teaching German as a foreign language as well as Communication Science, and I bring a strong foundation in educational support and child development. Since relocating from Hungary to the United States in 2022, I have remained closely connected to education both professionally and as a parent of two children currently in 5th and 7th grade. I am committed to supporting classroom instruction and fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment. Outside of my work in education, I enjoy creative pursuits such as glasswork and baking. I am thrilled to be a part of this wonderful team!

A little bit about me, I just moved here from Huntsville, Alabama where I grew up. I came to Auburn to be with my soon to be husband, Sean. I previously taught visual arts for students PreK-5th. I am passionate at igniting creativity and a love for learning in children. Watching students problem solve and discover new things is what drives me. Madelyn Stocks, Assistant Teacher Hey! I'm Madelyn and I am overjoyed to join the Auburn Day School team. I absolutely love working with children and this is a wonderful place to do so. Currently, I am a junior in speech, language and hearing at Auburn University, with hopes to one day become a speech language pathologist. I am passionate about working with children and hope to help them improve their speech in the future. I love to see the child-like wonder in the eyes of children as they learn and experience life! lillie robinson, assistant teacher Hi there! I am ecstatic to be joining the Auburn Day School team as an Assistant Teacher. I’m originally from Mobile, AL, and I am a current Auburn University Student pursuing my degree in Early Childhood Education. My passion for teaching started back in 2018 when I first started working with children. but, growing up with a teacher for a Mom always inspired me to pursue teaching. I have worked with children from ages 4 weeks to 10 years as a nanny, in camps, tutoring sessions, and Sunday School. I am excited to use the skills I’m acquiring in the classroom to foster learning and discovery for the students at ADS. Outside of class and ADS, I spend time with my German-Shepherd Gumbo, train for marathons, and travel.

I have always had a love for working with children, and hope to one day work as a nurse in pediatrics. I believe it is so rewarding being able to see kids grow both within their education and their personality. Mary Morgan Scott, B.A. Assistant Teacher My name is Mary Morgan Scott, I recently graduated from Auburn University with my BA in French, and I am so excited to be joining the ADS Team as an assistant teacher! I have been working with children for over 6 years through babysitting and nannying, and this past year I had the opportunity to teach French at the high school level. What I love most about working with kids is getting to see their unique personalities shine, and watching them learn and grow. This is one of the reasons that ADS’ curiosity-forward approach really stands out to me. I feel so lucky to be working at Auburn Day School, and I can’t wait to meet all of the sweet students and families!
Caroline Holmes, Assistant TEacher Hi ADS family! My name is Caroline and I am currently a junior at Auburn University studying Psychology with a minor in Child Development. I am overjoyed to be an assistant teacher this year! I am from Virginia and have worked previously as an assistant teacher back home, but am so excited to bring those skills to ADS. Working with children is a huge passion of mine and I am so excited to see the growth among so many kids.
